Welcome to Barrington's
Please note reservations can only be made for the inside seating area of the Brasserie. The terrace operates on a first come, first serve basis as it is entirely weather dependent. No reservations can be made for the bar.
A Multi-Sensory Stay
Barrington’s Small Hotel, situated directly above the brewery, provides an undeniably unique yet central location a stone’s throw from the beach and Plettenberg Bay’s world class, championship golf course.
Quite “the perfect place” for travellers wanting more than a bed for the night.
breakfast, lunch & dinner
Barrington’s light filled Brasserie is as serene as its surroundings, perfectly complementing the panoramic view of the Piesang Valley beyond.
The food wields unconventional delights. Slow cooked, pulled free range meats prepared in Barrington’s custom-made smoker paired with fresh indigenous regional ingredients, including our own daily harvest, offering a uniquely South African take on smokehouse cuisine.
Four superbly crafted beers
Barrington’s is the first craft brewery to be situated within the town of Plettenberg Bay itself.
The 500 lt brewery is headed up by Knysna local, Marcus Meunier who has crafted four superbly individual beers to start – a Lager, a Weiss, an English Ale and an American Rye Ale as well as seasonal beers throughout the year.

is food and where it comes from
Aside from the organic kitchen garden, other notable features include a 120 000 lt underground grey water reservoir to be used for irrigation purposes, gas geysers throughout and the future installation of 180 solar panels. Support for locally farmed, ethically produced meat and produce from within a 30km radius and Barrington’s very own daily harvest will further assist in limiting the operations carbon footprint throughout.
Most exciting is that plans are already underway for Barrington’s to spearhead the development of a community kitchen garden and provide ongoing training and support to one of Plettenberg Bay’s most disadvantaged communities.
